Fear. It’s something that we all feel at sometime. Maybe you’re scared of bugs, but maybe you’re scared that someone you become friends with will let you down and end up hurting you. I know. I’ve been scared of that very thing. In most cases people become scared because they at some point have had someone close hurt them.
I met a friend just yesterday for the first time, and I was scared. My mind went wild with “what ifs.” I have learned one thing though: if you give all your anxiety and hurts and fears over to God, He will give you His peace.
Philippians 4:6-7 says: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
All we have to do is trust in God for His peace and that His hand is on our shoulders; that He is holding our hand every step of the way.
And in case you’re wondering how it went with my friend, after praying to God that He take my fears and anxious heart away, He gave me a peaceful heart and I talked with my friend for the first time in person ever, and it felt natural as if we were old friends.
Give God your anxious heart and let Him replace it with a heart full of His Perfect, Holy peace.
Blessings to you!
