Within the last couple of weeks, there has been something God has really laid on my heart. I know I’ve been relatively impartial to who I am writing to – neither to specifically guys nor girls. However, today I am going to write to the girls, so I hope that’s OK with you guys!
Ladies, I just want to tell you that you’re beautiful. God made you to be specifically you. I know that sometimes we hate ourselves. For not having the right hair style, or for not being the right waist size. Sometimes we hate ourselves just because someone else does. They may tell you they just don’t like any part of you – and that hurts, I know! But God loves you. He created you to be Uniquely you! No one else. Psalm 139:14 says “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
You just want to fit in. To be accepted. And to be like everyone else, sometimes, too. I get it! Trust me.
And at times, like with your boyfriend, he may want something from you. But you don’t need to give your wholeness, your purity up just to get that acceptance. No matter what your boyfriend says, if the only thing he wants is your body, he’s not worth it. Your body is yours to give to your future husband on your wedding night. When you give your virginity away to a guy you aren’t married to, you both are stealing something very special and sacred away from your future husband and wife – if he’s a virgin too. Hebrews 13:4 puts it clearly, saying “Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure…” When you give your body away to someone you aren’t married to your marriage bed is no longer pure and sacred.
I guess this is speaking to the guys too. No matter what the person you are dating says, if they want you to give your virginity to them they aren’t worth it. And don’t put yourself in the position to be tempted by sexual immorality.
Love your self. And be assured to know that God loves you. And if you stay pure, God will bless your marriage. I deeply believe this for you, as well as for myself!
Let God work in you, bringing forth and shining out your Innermost Unfading Beauty.
Love and Blessings,
