Saying Goodbye to someone you are close to is hard. I know, I’m going through it right now.
There is a verse in the Bible that is saying how everything has a time. “There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens: a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time for war and a time for peace.” (Ecc. 3:1-8)
As we say goodbye to someone or even something don’t mourn what is lost or left behind, but look forward to what God has in store for you. Maybe God is just having you give something up for the moment in order to strengthen your faith and make it grow. Maybe you will see the person/people again in your life. Sometimes you just have to go home and “re-group” as my dad likes to put it. You have to go take some time and pray and seek God’s will for you.
I am constantly reminding this to myself as I have to go home and start the next year of my life for school and getting a job and all the wonderful things that come with growing up. We all have to grow-spiritually, mentally and emotionally.
So as I start another year’s adventure, I pray that you will be reminded that God has a plan and that it is the best for your life. Listen to him and seek his face and “…he will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4)
Let God work in you, shining out your Innermost Unfading Beauty.
