Dreams DO Come True!

Everybody has hopes and dreams. One of my dreams was to be an author. Someone who could inspire the world through the words she has written and spoken-and that continues to be one of my greatest dreams! That said, today I am one step closer to that. I got the chance to guest write an article for a single women’s ministry called She is Set Apart.

While it may not be a full book being published-of which I am currently working on-it is certainly a little blink in seeing my dream coming true!

God has really been planting Jeremiah 29:11-13 in my heart as of late. It says: ‘”For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”‘ (NLT)

I really feel God telling me “Seek me out with your whole heart” There are so many verses that come to mind thinking of this. Here are a few:

Psalm 37:4 (ESV) “Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”

Matthew 6:33 (ESV) “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Basically life right now looks like this: learning to seek God is everything. In the midst of my bustling busy life, trying to get everything prepared for my 3-month cooking Internship at Glacier Bible Camp in Hungry Horse, Montana and trying to get a school course finished, God’s teaching me about seeking him first above all else.

Yes, it can be very tricky. Sometimes I’d rather just sleep in rather than get up a little earlier to spend some time seeking Christ. Sometimes life at home is too noisy. But, Thank Goodness for quiet main street coffee shops where I can go before class and spend a few quiet moments with a cinnamon roll, coffee and my Jesus!

Dreams DO come true, and while I’m seeing some dreams start to bud open, I remind myself “Seek FIRST the kingdom of God…”

See you all in a bit!
